Ruby Tuesday

tarantulaRuby Tuesday, the name I gave to my resident tarantula friend, showed up on my porch one (Tuesday) evening in August soon after a monsoon rain. This is a time known to create movement for many desert creatures, mainly due to the fact that their homes have been flooded. At first I was quite startled, and a little apprehensive to see this huge, and I mean HUGE, spider ambling up the patio, and even more so when she climbed up my porch wall and just settled in for an evening visit. I was equally surprised when she returned the following night and settled in to spend yet another long evening with me.
A little slow off the mark here, I hadn’t even been thinking of communicating with her, but I realized there must be a higher purpose for these visits and that I had better pay attention, as Ruby was not going anywhere until I’d received her message. Once I made the connection, she just poured out the information she wanted to share with me and I took mental notes.
She informed me that my intuition was deepening and shifting to a new level and she encouraged me to use it for not just the animal realm, but all of human kind, something I am trained in, but had not been focusing on. She also relayed that a part of my life purpose is teaching others to tap into their own intuition. Interestingly enough this is something that’s been naturally occurring on its own accord. Ruby encouraged me to expand the expression of my creativity in ways greater than I was currently doing, including writing more and painting. Art is something I have always wanted to pursue, but have been hesitant to do, due to self-imposed doubts and limitations. Writing is a passion that certainly isn’t being given enough attention at the moment.
After giving me a few more messages and points taken, she assured me of the magic I would experience if I took this information to heart. I watched for her the next evening and she was nowhere to be found, she had ‘completed her assignment’ and was off on her next ‘mission’. As the Rolling Stones song goes, “Good Bye, Ruby Tuesday….”
